NEW CrossTec SchoolVue v9.0 puts teachers, lab instructors and corporate trainers center stage in networked classrooms or Internet-based virtual classrooms. This newest generation of classroom management software facilitates the seamless transition, from teaching to groups to interactive one-on-one instruction, and ensures that the teacher is in full control of classroom technology at all times.

Using CrossTec SchoolVue, an Instructor can broadcast their screen, multimedia files, or any student's screen to other participants; record and playback screen sessions; control printer and removable drive use; monitor students as they work; restrict the use of applications and web sites; carry on bidirectional text or audio conversations and lectures; create, administer, monitor and automatically grade tests; remote control a student PC for one-on-one instruction and much more.

Features THUMBNAIL VIEW / MONITOR MODE Display a Thumbnail view of all Student workstations. Auto Zoom provides the Tutor with a larger real-time view of any thumbnail when they move the mouse over the thumbnail. NEW ENHANCED WIRELESS SUPPORT Wireless support in CrossTec SchoolVue has been extended to offer improved performance over wireless access points and the inclusion of class lists. To complement this, a new class list creation tool is now provided to allow for off-line preparation of class lists. SchoolVue also features a Student Locator. APPLICATION CONTROL MODULE Control and restrict the applications used by your Students. Identify both active and minimized applications, displaying the actual application icon next to each Student name. Then drag and drop applications into either an "Approved" or "Restricted" list. A record of software / application usage is kept for the duration of the lesson. BLANK STUDENT SCREENS Use an Attention Button to blank screens and lock keyboard and mouse input to focus student attention on your lecture. INSTANT SURVEYS & TESTS Find out whether your Students have understood the lesson by conducting an instant survey, quiz or test. The survey is automatically sent to all selected Students and allows for preset questions to be stored for later use. CrossTec SchoolVue incorporates a full Test Designer allowing a Teacher to set customized tests including text, pictures, audio and video questions. Once the timed test has been completed results are automatically collated, marked and made available to the Teacher. New SchoolVue v9.0 has added additional test question types and student feedback. STUDENT REGISTER SchoolVue’s Student Register captures “Class Detail” information such as Teachers Name, Lesson Title and Room Number. The Teacher can select further information, which any attending Students must provide. NEW KEYBOARD LOGGER New to CrossTec SchoolVue is Keyboard Monitoring. Designed to be used in conjunction with application control, this feature provides teachers with real-time insight into student activity and topic understanding. During a lesson the teacher can monitor the entire class and quickly and easily observe their typed content and activity levels. The keyboard monitor also provides a perfect monitoring tool when students are online in forums or search forms. WHITEBOARD Work with a drawing board containing annotation tools for screen highlighting. MONITORED GROUP CHAT Open a discussion box that all, or selected students, can use to text chat like a typical Instant Message program. RECORD AND REPLAY Record all screen, keyboard and mouse activity taking place within a remote control session on a Student workstation including audio support. An Instructor can record screen demos which can be later replayed to the class or by individual students – even from home. ANNOTATE Like a sports commentator – you can mark up the display screen. New in v9.0 screen annotation tools can now be used outside of the SchoolVue Tutor program FILE TRANSFER & DISTRIBUTION Transfer and manipulate files between workstations or distribute files and data from the teacher PC to multiple student workstations simultaneously. LAUNCH APPLICATIONS Launch applications and web sites on Student PCs. SHOW VIDEO Display a video to selected Student workstations. TRAVELING USB TEACHER Copy Tutor module to a USB drive and be able to work on lesson plans and use your pre-configured SchoolVue Tutor from any computer. POWER MANAGEMENT If your workstation hardware and software supports it, you can use SchoolVue to power up /down the Student workstations over the LAN and remotely log them onto Windows.

MONITOR Keep an eye on what Students are using their PCs for and be in instant control if they are not keeping to the curriculum. Cycle through each student PC, one at a time or simultaneously, displaying their screen, running applications and web sites all from the Tutor’s PC. WEB CONTROL MODULE See exactly which active and background URLs are running on Student PCs. Then drag & drop URLs into "Approved" or "Restricted" lists. Students will be prevented from visiting prohibited sites. A record is also kept of all Student Internet activity for the duration of the lesson. New in v9.0 is the ability to also restrict web pages within an approved web site. NEW PRINTER CONTROL CrossTec SchoolVue features a powerful print management tool allowing total control over printer usage within the classroom. Students can be prevented from printing anything, be assigned page limits per lesson, or require teacher authorization. The Print Management feature supports multiple printers within a classroom and prevents the addition, deletion or modification of existing printers while providing printer usage summaries for the class. NEW USB & CD DRIVE CONTROL CrossTec SchoolVue v9 offers flexible control of USB, DVD and CD drive use which will protect you from unintended files, such as malware, being introduced to your network. Device Control also protects data from being copied to removable drives. SchoolVue v9 not only provides an on/off switch for drives but also provides you with additional settings. For example you can set it up so data can still be viewed on a USB Memory Stick or CD-ROM, but can be set to prevent downloading files from them. TIMED LESSON PLANS Create fully automated predefined lesson plans. Simply select the required elements from a pick list and drag onto the planner, specifying duration for each item. When running, a progress bar within the main Tutor console will advise the teacher on the current activity and the time remaining for that specific element. REMOTE CONTROL Assist students by controlling their screen, keyboard and mouse. HELP REQUESTS Students can send you private messages & questions without having to raise their hand. SCREEN CAPTURE Capture a Student’s screen and save to a file for future reference. NEW MESSENGER MONITOR SchoolVue extends its application control features with the availability of Messenger Monitoring. In addition to the ability to prevent Messenger applications running within the classroom, SchoolVue also provides real-time monitoring of specific Messenger applications. The teacher gains a real time view of chat activity and content. The Messenger monitoring component supports a range of messenger applications including MSN, Live Messenger, Yahoo and AOL messengers. Support is also included for “Jabber” based messengers including PSI, Coccinella, LinQ, Mango, Tkabber, Wija, Spik and Wannachat.
